Hamill's career has been in the doldrums for years. If we take away the Star Wars films, the Big Red One, his work on animations and computer games there isn't really anything too substantial. Like George Lucas he probably always knew he had to come back to Star Wars sometime. The first time you see the force awakens you really enjoy it. after you've seen it a few times you realise its kind of a homage to the old Star Wars. As usual the old guys do whatever acting there is, the young guys have a lot of fun. Ridley is delightful as Rey. Kylo Ren adds to the list of great bad guys. There's all the fights and action you could want. Two and a half hours might seem a bit long but it flies by. Great fun.
